The Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) represents professionals working and studying in the field of Architectural Technology. Paul Skelly, the principal of P.S. Design, is a chartered member of the Institute and is qualified as a Chartered Architectural Technologist. (MCIAT)
The Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) is adopted by Government as the UK methodology for calculating the energy performance of dwellings. The calculation is based on the energy balance taking into account a range of factors that contribute to energy efficiency.
Paul Skelly, the principal of P.S. Design, is an accredited energy assessor to provide both Design and As built SAP calculations plus EPC's to ensure that projects are designed to deliver high quality, sustainable and efficient construction, with low energy costs.
The British Institute of NDT is the professional institute for all those engaged in non-destructive testing. Paul Skelly, the principal of P.S. Design, is registered with BINDT with UKAS calibrated equipment to carry out air tightness testing and certification service for air permeability. Assistance can be given to identify air leakage paths via smoke testing which may need to be sealed to improve the carbon emissions and the overall energy performance rating.
